FSHS Freshmen fell to Monahans 20-34 on Thursday evening at home. The loss comes as only their second on the season and first in district play as the Freshman Team previously defeated Pecos and Snyder.

The Panthers defense struggled, allowing the Loboes to score 34 points. In their previous loss, the Panthers Freshmen had allowed only 20 points.

Offensively, the Panthers scored in the air and on the ground. The blue scored their first touchdown on a 17-yard pass from QB Cruz Rojas to WR Zane Hodges. RB Jaydrian Ramirez then scored on the carry for the two-point conversion, giving the home team 8. For the second touchdown, Isaiah Garcia, RB, carried the ball into the end zone for six more points, but the two-point conversion following the touchdown was no good. Finally, Rojas, on a QB sneak ran 1 yard for the TD. The two-point conversion was shut down by the Loboes, giving the Panthers a total of 20 for the night.

The Panthers Freshman Team will be in action again IN Greenwood on Thursday, 24 October at 5pm.
